Korg E2 and Monologue pattern select

I have read the manuals for both machines and tried the various settings, but I still get E2 changing patch on the Monologue when I change pattern on the E2. Anyone know how to disable this?

I think the E2 has midi filters that prevent different midi messages being sent or received. It’s in the settings menu.

I tried that filter stuff, if I set the filter then nothing happens. It's weird, anyway it's not bad, kind of makes sense this way.
