MPC Live/X samplepack thread
OK I'll start off, hopefully this will have some legs


this expansion is 16 JX8P keygroups, 3 strides up to C5, four velocity layers, recorded through TNC ACMP-73 preamps...I might have stuffed up a couple but theyre free and I had been drinking and watching footie at the same time


lemme know what you think and Ill do another 16...more importantly share yours too x

I used a separate folder to save the projects than my usual MPC folder in Documents, then used the expansion builder...

Hmm, sounds like a software thing!
I don’t have the software installed. Can I just connect to my laptop, and copy off the ssd into my laptop?

the expansion builder is a desktop thing...you can just pull the folders off your Live...there should be a xjp file and a project data folder for each set of samples youve collected on the hardware.


you could just zip them and host them on something like dropbox or be totly pro and admired by wimmin everywhere by making them into an expansion set


if you are unsure of using the expasion builder send them to me and I can make them into one for you??

Thank you. I'm trying to autosample a tx81z, blofeld and mks50 but having some trouble, once created the keygroup, it doesn't sound or the pads sound randomly

Have you checked that on the autosample page you selected the correct inputs? I did it a few times yesterday...although you can hear it on the audio channel it isnt being recorded

Nice one ill try them out later...Ill do a JDXA one later...maybe ill keep each expansion the size of one bank...so if theres any of the axial soundsets anyone wants sampled let me know

i am very very envious of this new sampling feature, it is really very good and that is coming from someone who samples A LOT.

almost makes me want to go back to Akai, almost

I have zero time and what little time I do I just wanna make sample packs now


forced myself to start a track today...gonna do some JDXA samples next, the first axial modulation set

whatever I make Ill zip up the waves and stick them in the other thread for you sample luddites

Did you ever put up the mellotron app set I made?
Going to work on animoog next.
Plan is to sample most of my iPad apps, and never use that thing for music again!

haha, thats a good use for it...I think Ive bought every synth app there is up to a year or so ago and thought wtf am I buying apps for


no Ill stick that Mellotron one up laters...yeah animoog will be a good one, I think I bought all the packs for it too in another wtf moment

just finishing a BoC inspired samplepack, but as this thread doesnt really have the legs Ill just stick any expansions etc in the stickied sample thread

I should have some autosampled rompler drumkits to share eventually. What is the best site to upload them? Looks like it could be 5gb or more.

Once I figure out how to turncate the extra silence from the end of most samples, I could get the file size much smaller though.

Ahh, please keep posting them here...I’m following the thread and saving patches to Dropbox since I haven’t had time to get them into the Live and report back...posting here helps to find them!

Can you not choose “all” in the sample page and edit the end there? I use dropbox but 5gb is huge (nice to have though

Make sure you erase the earlier versions as I had a brain fart and saved them as pgms...all fixed now though

Rompers drums? As in old school sample based 90s stuff?
