The lighter colors reminded me of the old Radio Shack Moog.
My thought exactly.
The color scheme makes it look fun. With an onboard arpeggiator and sequencer it should be fun to use. I like that it has 2 VCOs, hard sync, patchable HPF, and a spring reverb.
Love it! Have come so close to purchasing a Realistic Concertmate MG-1 a number of times, often for about the same amount in minty-mint condition. Extra features and semi-mod format make this an instabuy for me. I think. Not sure where it will fit when I already have the Sub37, but it's so darned cute. Hope it is made available wider so that I can think about it harder. Don't want to get my hopes up.
Played somw big gigs with one a hundred years ago and ... didn’t ... stay in tune
Must have been all the smoke and beer spilt on it
I love the MG-1 so much. The tuning of mine would depend on how close your hand was to it. You could change the beat frequencies that way. It was like an accidental Theremin.
I'm not sure of the Grandmother colors. Otherwise, I am SO ON BOARD. A normalized semi-modular is my ideal monosynth.
This gets my vote as the ugliest synth of all time.
I have to say this doesn't appeal to me either in the looks department. I like Moog gear (I have NO plans of selling my Voyager EB) and it will probably sound decent but it is an eyesore to me with that colour scheme!
Price is reasonable though.

Your first album Accidental Theremin was my favorite
The look is growing on me the more I see it, after a fairly unpromising start. Interesting - I had been half thinking about getting a subtractive semi-modular to partner up with my 0-Coast. For people with more modular this will probably make a lot of sense.
