spectrum analyzer in filter screen
realtime modulation display in filter screen
use samples from usb/sd card without loading to internal storage (still loads to RAM)
wavetable position encoder moves in 1's/0.1's/0.01's in normal/fine/superfine modes
oscillator copy
parameter popup > modulations > go to mod matrix populates destination
digital former keytrack
digital former SVF type
digital former ring mod type
perform section has on screen pads with notes/scale/chords mode
pad trigger sequencer mode for above pads
filter screen "env" button - shows filter envelope and displays filt env amt / filt velo amt
reverb effect has mod rate/depth
new master page in layers - selectable bass boost (sounds like "on" is the original quantum setting), master compression, master volume and both layers vol/pan
mod matrix copy and paste slots
MPE support
Thank you.

Indeed lots of good stuff is implemented. How do you like it so far?

I love the digital filters, especially with them retaining the stereo - and the recent addition of the raiser filter type took it up another notch for me.

the workflow improvements might not sound like much, but they really elevate the programming experience for me.

not used MPE.

I've had my quantum since June 2019 and it is the "desert island" synth for me - that's the one they'd have to prise from my cold, dead hands.

I love the depth of synthesis - it feels like a synthesist's toolkit, so much is possible with it and it still feels like there are things to be discovered lurking in there.

The Quantum is an incredible achievement in interface design and software engineering.

(It also sounds good)

Did your screen detach and fall in as well?

There are more reports of the screen falling in popping up on the FB groups. I wonder if this will eventually affect all users if/when the glue wears off.

I've contacted support, let's see what solution they offer.

Hi Sidelius,

I'll just copypasta my report from before...

TL;DR.... screen fell in, contacted Rolf/Waldorf and they arranged with Korg (who is their repairer in the US) to take care of it under warranty at my local synth fixit shop here in Los Angeles. It took much longer than expected though, because the two replacement screens Korg sent both arrived cracked, and each one took longer to arrive because Covid-19. The third time was the charm apparently because they ordered that one directly from Waldorf (I think). Since it was fixed I've had no more problems with the screen. Weird part was the screen was still working fine, just like others, but it was kind of unusable at a backwards forty-five degree angle inside the Quantum.

PS: everything was indeed covered by the 3 year (?) warranty, but I was lucky to just scoot in under that wire, purchase date-wise.

PPS: hopefully the current shortage of everything won't affect the replacement of screens. If your warranty covers it, I wouldn't wait to get it fixed.

I love my Quantum but this screen issue is very concerning long-term.

When you invest so much time building sounds need to know the synth will be reliable -

This is why need to avoid these forums and just enjoy what you have being blissfully unaware of these issues

The manual says in addendum

Each note on a keyboard can access a different wave of a wavetable.

Do you know how to program this?

Modulate WT # with note number?
