Synths = never, since almost everything I do comes from a jam I tend to use the Novation‘s sequencer or some modular stuff

Same with me. I usually sequence my synths from my main sequencer unless I play and sample them in as audio.

I have a new synth coming though that specializes in modern pads and soundscapes and my understanding is that you need to use the onboard sequencer for more advanced motion filled patches, so I’ll probably start soon.

OK, same as me then. It seems to me that people do rely on drummachine sequencers a fair amount.

Arturia Polybrute, Waldorf Iridium desktop, Behringer Deepmind 12-D , I had the Clavia NL4 R since it was first released years ago, and it's one of my favorite digital synths.

I know, wrong thread, but what are you thinking about your polybrute. Is the sound of the VCOs really so bad. I only saw Youtube Vids and they are not really helping to catch the sound of this synth... Other people are saying, that the Polybrute sounds really bad for an analog Synth. What do you think?

Btw;I am a big fan of the Nord Leads. I have 2 NL4r s and a NLA1 Keyboard...
But Nord Keyboards destroyed their synth legacy with the Wave 2 imho...

I have not used my Polybrute long enough yet, to be able to answer your question.

So, give me a few weeks, and I will post my opinion here. I don't know what others are talking about, but what i heard was quite impressive in many demos, and videos showing the Polybrute's sonic capabilities, and character.

How do you like the Iridum together with the Polybrute?
The PB is the most fantastic analog synth ever, great sound and possibilities are endless.
I'm looking for a complement on the digital side, and the Iridium looks perfect for that usage.
I'm mostly looking for wavetable and FM, to replace an Hydrasynth and and Opsix that I sold already.

Yes, the Polybrute is a great sounding Analog Synth. Lots of sound sculpting possibilities !

I purchased the Waldorf Iridium Desktop synth because I think it made a perfect complement to my other Analog Synths, not just the Polybrute, I have quite a few other Analog Synths. But had no HW-Synth that would do the types of synthesis that the IRIDIUM offers, so it just fit perfectly in the empty puzzle slot. I haven't done a lot of research on the Iridium, but from what I saw, and heard, it was an easy decision.

I will post more feedback about them in the near future, I haven't began using them seriously yet, so I need more time to give my opinion.

I also own a matriarch next to the polybrute, so the analog side is well covered.
I had an opsix and hydrasynth for more digital sounds, but the opsix was too cheaply built, and the hydrasynth was too limited on the wavetable side, so I sold them both.
I tried to replace them with software, pigments and opsix native, but I really don't like working with software, so now I'm considering the iridium to replace them both. But its quit expensive, so I'm still hesitating.

Yep, that’s my studio in my home.
The Voyetra 8 isn’t in these pics and my Osmose should arrive in January rounding out the last of my synth stuff which isn’t in the pics.

i like your setup... but glad i don't have it. i dust/wipe off my gear(as i'm OCD) every week, and wouldn't want to even attempt that with a setup like yours.
