That is a serendipity.
@ Gothi you do great mixes! I was a headphones fan for years. It can work, but it is work. Can be lots of back and forth with the mastering engineer. Or someone who's ears you trust @ Gothi It is a relief for me now to work with speakers.

My hope was that some people might be inspired to DIY acoustic treatment. I know it is daunting. But you can see in my room how simple it is to do.

I guess @ Gothi the biggest acoustic problem in your room is the beautiful wood floor. You could put a large rug in your "mixing" area at one end of the room perhaps? Whatever brings you joy.

Rocking the Genelecs since 1995. Will continue to do so 'til the day I die. They will bury me with my 1030a:s.

YMMV. Mine doesn't.

I went through I big change and disassembled my larger studio and put everything in the closet. I sold off a couple synths and picked up a Pro 3 and a Tempest to work on a more minimal live Pa set up. Sounds weird saying minimal when the Ot, Tempest and pro 3 are some pretty intense machines but I just wanted the 3 machine setup. The stuff on the left is my playing keys side and is there for just playing songs, jamming and singing and whatnot. The Kross 2 on top is kind of just up there for the drum loops for playing keys over. It’s really just my travel keyboard. I’m really digging this set up tho. Nothing in here is for serious music production at this point, just trying to upgrade myself. The monitors aren’t perfectly setup and my chair is a $30 fold out chair from Home Depot haha

I imagine that's a fun trio (OT, Tempest, Pro3).

Right on.

Great stuff. Love the arrangement, a keyboardist's dream. I see you have a Voyager OS, how do you like it? Mine has the badge on the side, never seen it put in the middle.

Hello Peeps.
Here's My little production studio built in My loft.
This is version one, and you guessed it version 2 is already on the way so I thought I'd better post it before it get's taken apart.

I'm quite happy with it but after looking in this thread........
Please, opinions and feedback are welcome.

Great layout. I love loft spaces. That was my first studio Very cool how you have different stations, lke studios within a studio. Acoustically there are a couple of simple things I'd suggest but you might be doing those for v2? You're at an advantage already with the shape of a loft. I'd prefer wall-mounting keyboard stands, instead of desks, to conserve space. I think it really opens up a space when the eye sees under the keyboards.

Nah I gotta keep it professional. Doing a co-op with my buddy who almost graduated dental school.

Looks great @ ac_music . You have a lot of space there.

Also, I noticed a cup holder attached to the desk - that's a really good idea. Few years ago I spilled 200ml of tea with sugar on a laptop. Surprisingly it survived but I had to replace the keyboard because of the residual sugar.
Now I don't use the sugar anymore and avoid keeping any drinks near my gear but it sometimes happen. And 2 cats at home can make it a very expensive mistake...

That’s alright, it’s part of the game brother. I always say, in the studio only the strong survive.

I had a friend have sexual relations with a female in my studio back in the day and a beer was spilled on my Fantom X7 and the whole lower octave stopped working. Eventually I cleaned it up and refurbished the carbon contacts to get it working again. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, unless you’re electronics.

@ ac_music you should've told your friend to get a room e.g. take their doing the deed back to the hotel, motel, Holiday Inn/if they both start acting up, dismiss them as friends. SMDH @ relations in the studio.
