An opinion on my bass trap plan please

Hello

I wondered if anyone could offer me an opinion here please

Please see plan diagram attached. Ceiling height is 2.8m fairly flat, floor is carpeted concrete, walls are plasterboard covered brick and plain brick.

Generally my listening sounds ok, but I have noticed some peak resonances particularly when playing bass guitar in the studio.

I have some simple panels already (red) 0.6 x 1.8m rigid fibreboard double-thick (approx 100m total).

I was planning to build a giant bass trap at the rear wall of the studio. I was planning 0.4m deep, floor to ceiling and wall to wall. I was going to leave a 0.4m air gap behind.

The material I am planning to use is Knauf Acoustic Roll rockwool:
Acoustic Roll 100 x _283 x 400_29mm x 9_17m _2811m2_2fpack_29

So this stuff would be 0.4m thick wall of rockwool.

I haven't done any testing or had any expert advice. As it seems the problem is with standing wave bass resonances I thought this would be a good solution.

Can anyone offer any opinions or advice please?

Is this big and thick enough to trap those troublesome frequencies?!!

Thanks
Ted

More traps spread around will be more efficient use of treatment. I'd start with superchunks in the corners, cloud, soffit, first reflection treatments, panels between the monitors and front wall. It's worth your time to get some baseline measurements.

thanks.
there is some treatment already there - see red panels on diagram - which cover some things, but not for deeper bass i guess.
what's a superchunk? - would this be filling the space behind my corner traps with the knauf wool?
