Repurposed Photo Backdrop Fabric

Hey, all.

I'm trying to build acoustic panels on the (extreme) cheap. I have (from my old photo studio) a white, 100% cotton backdrop--much like this:

It is just in a bag in storage, so I'm thinking about cutting it up and using it to cover my 4" rockwool acoustic panels. So...

1) Do you all foresee any issues with using this fabric on my panels?

2) Do you have any thoughts on ways to spruce it up? Plain white is so boring!

Thanks in advance....

In case the link expires, the item is a "10' x 20' White Muslin Backdrop Photo Studio Photography Background (100% Cotton)."

I guess nobody has any thoughts on this. . Well, I held the fabric tightly over my mouth and nose and was able to breath with little difficulty. So, I guess that part is fine. As far as question 2 is concerned...I guess I'll either have to deal with the shiny whiteness (and the accompanying tendency to show every dusty dirty smudge)...or figure out some way to dye it, or tea stain it, or something.

Thanks!
