would water work as a bass-absorber

if I would fill 200 bottle's of 2 liter with water ... would that absorb low-freq ????
if I put my head unther water .. all sounds so funny ..

just curious on water as an absorber ...

sounds like a cool idea, especially different colored water.
it would be terrible if the water spilt inside the studio.
