Recording at 48/24 bit

Hi guys,

I'm using Pro Tools 11 with an M Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R. I've installed all the latest drivers. Supposedly the interface supports 96/24 bit recording, however whenever I try to set the sample rate/bit depth in the opening dialogue box, I'll set my preferences (which would be 48/24bit) and create a session; but I then get an error message saying that the rate is not supported and no project is created. The highest rating I can achieve is 44.1/24bit.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys!

Pro Tools probably can't change the sample rate on the device. You should set it first in the Fast Track control panel, then set up Pro Tools to match what you set the hardware to.
