MIDI Activity Monitor for single notes?

Have managed to scrabble together some time to get stuck into Logic X, definitely taking a bit of getting used to! I'm sure most of my frustrations can be remedied by getting to know it a bit better though.

One thing that I'm missing is Logic 9's MIDI monitor. I've enabled it in the Control Bar settings, but for single notes it only lights up a small dot in the top right, and only shows what you've played if it's a chord.

Is there a way to enable this for single notes as well?

FWIW I know what the notes are, but it was still handy for matching transposable keyboards and pad controllers to drum plugins

Actually, also displaying the played octave would be great.

Come to think of it, it was really handy for checking what parameters controllers are sending out as well. Especially if one of them is sending out phantom data...

Do you use the Custom Control Bar Display and did you activate MIDI Activity?

It works just fine.

Here is a screenshot with the explanation from my book "Logi Pro X - How it Works"

Ahhh, I hadn't selected 'Custom' in the drop down list. The font will take getting used to, but as you say, it works fine.

Thanks for the help!
