There's a soft bag for a pair of KH120As to the right of the computer monitor in the kitchen image above. Two KH120As are roughly the same size as one KH310.

The dimensions...
(height x width x depth)
(10 7/8” x 7 1/8” x 8 5/8”)
(277 x 182 x 220 mm)

But I've got a couple of projects coming up over the next month that I don't want to be without them for. And I would rather have both.

Side topic...how small of a Pelican case do you think you could fit the 120s in? Would they fit in a 1510?

I also have the bag but don't use it because it doesn't fit the way I load my gear.

Another option is to manage an existing flightcase from "Thon".
For my "on location" pair of KH120 + accessories, the Thon accessory case 60x30x30 is perfect. Not too much to do and super safe.
I also have inside my 2 "on location" headsets.

With another setup, the pair is in a 6U drawer...

Fred.

I'm thinking I should quit hauling my Dynaudio BM-15a's around and start looking for something else

no bags here but some plastic boxes for the small stuff (see pic) - otherwise, all gear goes into flight cases/transflexes with wheels which can also withstand hard touring...

The few times I do sessions, rather than concert archiving, I've been quite happy with a pair of little Sony SRS-Z750 powered speakers; they look like typical computer speakers, but sound much better than any others I've heard. Little bottom, of course (but more than one might expect), but top to mids are well balanced and most importantly (I do only Classical) the mids are very natural. Sony claims the drivers are made with banana fibre (?!). I added a little damping/stiffening to the insides of the cabs, which doubtless cost some bass extension, but I was more concerned with reducing cabinet resonance. Very easy on the wallet and the back!
