I started watched YouTube videos able making templates in Live. I got confused.

I have a 40 ch mixer and 24 channels of I/O and hope to expand to 48 ch soon (just because).

I enjoy techno (Ritchie Hawtin, Guy Called Gerald, Robert Hood, Len Faki) music and mostly use hardware synths and drum machines. I want to set up a template in Live. How should I go about doing it?

Or maybe you can recommend your favorite YouTuber channel.

ETA - I am mixing/summing on the Soundcraft mixer. I have the interface wired into the inserts. All synths, drum machines, and hardware FX, will go to patchbays. I will be able to mix 24 channel now and 48 when I add another interface.

your mixer channel and i/o count has nothing to do with ableton much less templates

if u want to do techno in ableton, instantiate a couple drum machines and synth plugins viola! there is your template!

if u just wanna use your hardware instantiate a few midi tracks to cntrl your hardware viola there is your template
